  1. First, you'll need to decide what purpose you want to use the wall for, and where you want it placed in your home. You'll need a decent amount of wall space for this. We made ours for the playroom with the intent of hanging our children's art. I specifically wanted something that could withstand heavier items, as I had tried taping them up, using frames, and making a yarn clothesline in the past. None could hold heavier pieces of art of different sizes.

  2. Cut and sand boards. We used 4 pieces of cedar.

  3. Attach eye hook screws to the end of each board.

  4. Now, attach thick utility wire with cinch connectors. We used 1/16". The thicker the wire, the easier it will hold heavier items. Both eye hook screws and utility wire can be found at your local hardware store.

  5. Attach clothespins and start hanging.

Ideas for Use:

*showcase children's art in play space or bedroom

*hang play scarves

*in laundry room to hang lonely socks

*display student work in classroom

*to teach sequence (hang picture cards from left to right)

*Word or Number Wall

*in kitchen to hang utensils, use hooks instead

*gallery wall of travel photos/art in living room

*to organize dress up clothes and accessories

*vision board in an office
